Governance & Secretariat

Campaign Advisory Group

Pratigya was envisioned as a campaign with a flat, non-hierarchical structure, where ownership rests collectively with its members. The Campaign Advisory Group (CAG) steers the coalition’s strategic direction. It brings together thought leaders from the medical field, programme leadership, legal experts, and advocacy and communications specialists who guide priorities and overall vision. Both current and past members have played an important role in shaping Pratigya’s direction and strengthening its credibility and impact.

Secretariat

The Secretariat plays the executive and coordination role, managing day-to-day operations, supporting implementation of strategic priorities, coordinating advocacy efforts, and overseeing resource utilisation.

The Secretariat is hosted by the Foundation for Reproductive Health Services India (FRHS India), a leading Indian non-governmental organisation established in 2009 to advance reproductive rights and choice. In 2015, it became India’s largest NGO and private-sector provider of clinical family planning services.

FRHS India is an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices, a global organization providing personalized contraception and safe abortion services to women and girls across 37 countries. FRHS India has been at the forefront of providing essential reproductive health services and advocating for policies that protect and promote women’s rights. Focused on reaching marginalized and underserved communities, FRHS India collaborates with the government, donors, and civil society to expand access to a range of women-centric health services.
